About Us

The Nest Family Daycare and Preschool is licensed and owned by Elaine Morente, SDSU graduate in Business, who was born and raised in North County San Diego. She is a mother of four and was a stay-at-home mother until she became a Paraeducator in Special Education for Vista Unified School District. Throughout her fifteen years of being a stay-at-home mom, she babysat for friends and family, volunteered in the classroom and served on parent/teacher boards advocating for the Arts. After two years of substituting for K-5 students, she became a Behavioral Therapist at California Avenue School where she acquired most of her professional experience educating preschoolers develop physical, academic, fine motor, play, and social & emotional skills. At the launch of her own home daycare, she brings years of knowledge, experience and skills to provide high quality care to the community she loves.
